The Township of Langley is one of 21 member municipalities that make up the Metro Vancouver regional district. The Township of Langley comprises 316 square kilometres (122 square miles) of land, including the communities of Aldergrove; Brookswood/Fernridge; Fort Langley; Murrayville; Walnut Grove; Willoughby; and Willowbrook. Incorporated in 1873, the Township of Langley is the separate municipal entity from the City of Langley.

The Township of Langley is centrally located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, along the Pacific Coast of Canada. It is located in the eastern portion of Metro Vancouver and provides easy access to four USA border crossings and international air, rail and sea shipping ports. The Township borders the City of Surrey to the west, the Fraser River and the community of Pitt Meadows to the north, the City of Abbotsford to the east, and the United States of America to the south.

LARGE MARKET: The Township of Langley (population 117,285) is centrally located in a larger population of 2.8 million consumers within a one-hour drive and an additional 4 million within a four-hour drive. 

GROWTH: The Township has enjoyed a growth rate of about 11.3% over the last census period (2006-2011). If current population growth trends continue, the Lower Mainland area is expected to add another one million residents by the year 2041. Forecasts predict that 68% of this future growth will occur within only four municipalities, one being the Township of Langley.

ABUNDANT AND AFFORDABLE REAL ESTATE: Property in the Township is priced about three to 10 times less than properties in Vancouver. Taxes are also much lower than other areas of Metro Vancouver. The Township also has one of the largest supplies of industrial, commercial, retail, and agricultural locations in the region. 

SKILLED LABOUR FORCE: About 64% of the population has some form of higher education. The community also enjoys access to two local universities and several other nearby educational facilities.
