Best Places for Work: Langley Rises to No. 5

For the third year in a row, the Township of Langley has climbed up the chart and is now ranked fifth on BC Business magazine's "Best Cities for Work in BC."

The analysis, which looks at 36 communities, is based on economic indicators that reflect the health of an area's job market, including the average household income, population growth, spending on housing and recreation, as well as the unemployment rate.

The No. 5 ranking, up from Nos. 6 and 7 in 2015 and 2014 respectively, shows that the Township is one of the more affordable places to live in the Lower Mainland, with amble job opportunities and a young, educated, and growing population.

Residents in the Township benefit from a stable and diverse business base, with more than 7,000 businesses in more than 550 economic activities.
