Located in the heart of Lower Mainland British Columbia, the Langley Regional Airport (YNJ) is a centre of excellence for helicopter and general aviation business. Welcoming up to 100,000 rotary and fixed-wing traffic movements per year, YNJ is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country. The Langley Centennial Museum, located in the historic village of Fort Langley, is owned and operated by the Township of Langley.
The museum opened in 1958. After more than 50 years of offering exhibits, programs, and other cultural and heritage services, we continue to grow and expand our role in the Township of Langley.

Township of Langley Named in Global Top 7 Most Intelligent Communities 2021
The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) has named the Township of Langley amongst the world’s Top 7 Intelligent Communities of the Year. The Top 7 communities represent models of cooperation for economic and social transformation, by charting new paths together for lasting prosperity for citizens, businesses, and institutions. Business Resilience Program
Resources within the Township’s Business Resilience Program have been extended for use until August 31, 2021. This program is a free, online learning platform available to all licensed businesses in the Township of Langley. It includes access to livestream recordings as part of the program’s Mastering Online Growth Bootcamp where experts share tips, tools, and techniques on eCommerce, digital marketing, and online sales to help business owners grow their business online.

Students Available for IT Projects
If your business has an IT project that you would like to get started, consider BCIT’s Industry Sponsored Student Project (ISSP). The ISSP program provides students with real-life experience by working on IT or software development projects directly from industry. Participating businesses get to meet and try out emerging tech talent and possibly find a viable computing solution for their IT project. Submit your application by August 1, 2021 for September term consideration.

Workforce Attraction and Development
Looking to fill jobs/vacancies within your business? WorkBC is a provincial government service that helps employers find the right talent and fill jobs, and helps residents find jobs and explore career opportunities. Be sure to reach out to the Langley WorkBC Centre: your business may also be eligible to apply for the Canada Recovery Hiring Program which provides a subsidy of up to 50% of employees wages to businesses that have been hit hardest by the pandemic.
The Government of Canada launched the Jobs and Growth Fund to help businesses and organizations create jobs and prepare for long term growth. This program will help businesses by investing in projects that support the transition to a green economy, foster an inclusive recovery, future proof through digital adoption and strengthen capacity in sectors critical to Canada’s recovery and growth.
Join the Workforce Development Community Team
The Township’s Economic Investment & Development team will be establishing a new Workforce Development Community Team in Fall 2021. The team will work together to understand local workforce supply and demand challenges, increase awareness about local job and career opportunities, build stronger relationships between stakeholders, increase the area’s competitive advantage for business and talent attraction, and develop a unified strategy and coordinated local approach to workforce development.
