Small businesses play a critical role in serving our community and growing our local economy. They provide local employment, recirculate dollars back into the community, support community events, teams, and charities. Small businesses make up 98% of businesses in BC and are an integral part of the Township.
From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been a challenging time for residents and businesses alike. The local small business community continues to work hard to provide essential services to Township residents and to keep their doors open. More than ever, local small businesses need the continued support of our community.
October is Small Business Month in BC and we’re asking for your support by recognizing your favorite small businesses in your neighbourhood. From Monday, October 25 to Tuesday, November 2, join us on Facebook and Instagram and follow our featured community of the day. Tag or mention your favorite small business located in that community and let us know why it’s your go-to place.
Your name will then be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of two Goodie Boxes, courtesy of Tourism Langley. Contest is open to Township of Langley residents and businesses only. Two winners will be randomly selected at the end of the week-long contest and contacted via social media.
Are you the owner of a small business in the Township? You can register your business into a draw for a chance to win a free digital ad with, and compliments of, the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce. All you have to do is email invest@tol.ca with your business name and business license number and the winner will be contacted based on their Township business license contact information.
To all small businesses in the Township of Langley, thank you for all that you do to serve and support our community!
